Denver Social Impact Bond Initiative (SIB) was a pay-for-success program which housed over 700 frequent users of emergency services Denver from 2016-2021. This program had robust evaluation through a five-year randomized control trial study which showed very positive outcomes. The evidence from the SIB was used to scale two new supportive housing programs in Colorado through cross-sector partnerships focused on healthcare: The Statewide Supportive Housing Expansion Project and the Denver Housing to Health/SIPPRA program. This session will highlight the most compelling results across all three initiatives which have piqued funder interest and led to new funding streams as well as new partnerships with the healthcare system. The session will also emphasize how a robust services package, and cross-system partnerships for outreach and care coordination can lead to positive outcomes in supportive housing.
