Maria serves as the President and CEO of REDF – a venture philanthropy that invests in and drives demand for employment social enterprise businesses that break down barriers to employment. They partner with social entrepreneurs — providing capital, capacity, and community — to amplify the success of their businesses and the people they employ. She was recently appointed to the U.S. Small Business Association’s new Investment Capital Advisory Committee to advise SBA in the development of a more inclusive and accessible ecosystem for small businesses nationwide. She also serves on the Entrepreneurship & Economic Mobility Task Force for the state of California.
