Hanna Azemati is the Deputy Director of the Housing and Homelessness Division at the California Department of Social Services. Before that, she held various positions at the Harvard Kennedy School Government Performance Lab and served as a Senior Advisor for Human Services Policy in the New York City Mayor's Office. Hanna also worked as Director of Social Innovation Financing in the New York State Governor’s Office developing social impact bonds. Prior to her focus on state and local government, she worked in international development and in finance. She holds a master's degree in international relations from Yale University and a bachelor's degree in economics and government from Dartmouth College.
