Sharayah Hoffmann (they/them) Advanced CASAC, oversees the Harm
Reduction program at Lantern Community Services (2022-present).
Sharayah held previous positions at Lantern including Case Manager,
Substance Use Counselor and Health & Wellness Coordinator (2019-
2022). In their current role, Sharayah oversees all things Harm Reduction
at Lantern agency wide including Harm Reduction Specialists, Lantern's
Opioid Overdose Prevention Program, Tenant Advisory Board of Harm
Reduction, Staff Harm Reduction Committee as well as participates in
various training development and facilitation both internally and
externally. Sharayah also has previous experience working in mobile
crisis and substance use treatment inpatient/outpatient settings.
Sharayah's Positionality statement: I am a white transgender nonbinary
person who identifies as queer and neurodivergent. I have lived and
familial experience with mental health and substance use diagnosis. I
share this as it impacts the lens in which I view the world and how I
interact with others including the folks I work with. I am very aware of
what it means to show up in this work as a queer white person and have
committed myself to a lifelong process of cultural humility that includes
commitment to anti-racist, anti-coercive, anti-judgmental and anti-oppressive work in both my personal and professional life.
