Diane Louard-Michel is a visionary, supportive housing professional with thirty years of experience in the field. She is the Executive Director of Lantern Community Services, a leading supportive housing and shelter provider in NYC. Before joining Lantern, she directed real estate at Unique People Services and was a leader at the Corporation for Supportive Housing (CSH) where she spearheaded lending, resource development, program refinements, and capacity-building efforts for providers, government, and philanthropic funders dedicated to ending homelessness in New York and nationally for over two decades.
Ms. Louard-Michel serves on the Board of Directors for the Supportive Housing Network of New York, Community Access, and Project Hospitality and the Priority & Strategy Council for the Human Services Council. She is a co-creator of the Racial Equity in Supportive Housing Workgroup and of RELISH, its six-month leadership mentoring program targeting emerging black-identifying leaders in supportive housing. Ms. Louard-Michel holds a master’s degree in historic preservation from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Yale University.
