Staci Sewell, MA, LPC, Chief Clinical Officer, joined The Women’s Home in March 2016. She has over 33 years of direct service and management experience in mental health and substance use disorder services and over 22 years’ experience in leading collaborative projects in urban communities with special expertise in start-up programs and program evaluation.
In her current role with The Women’s Home, she provides overall management, program design, expansion and implementation for clinical treatment services at the Montrose campus. Before working at The Women’s Home, she was the Director of a comprehensive early education intervention program based in several Houston urban communities. There she was responsible for overall program design, implementation, and evaluation of a multi-partner collaborative program.
Prior to relocating to Houston in 2002, she served the community in Chicago, IL where she spent over 9 years working with children impacted by trauma and adult survivors of violent crimes. In addition, she worked on a research project, led by the University of Illinois, in a Chicago housing facility aimed at reducing HIV/AIDS.
Staci holds two degrees: a B.A. in Psychology and an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Boston College and a certification in non-profit management from Roosevelt University. She is also a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
