Mattie Loyce is an interdisciplinary artist/curator and community advocate originally from and currently based in San Francisco, CA.

As Sr. Manager of Community Development, at DISH (Delivering Innovation in Supportive Housing), she leads the Community Development Department, managing resident leadership, harm reduction and creative and holistic program initiatives across 9 permanent supportive housing sites. In 2021 she began the Tenderloin Community Quilt Project which engaged residents of supportive housing and the greater Tenderloin community making collective quilts which expressed the hope, dreams, and visions on the meaningfulness of ‘home’.

Throughout her career she has made a commitment to amplifying the voices and supporting the lives of people with marginalized identities, specifically people and artists of the African Diaspora, Queer people and People of Color. She has worked across the US on east and west coasts, in the United Kingdom and within the Afro-Caribbean diaspora and is currently based in San Francisco/Tenderloin District.
