Benjamin Metsch, as the Chief Strategy Officer is responsible for the design and development of The Fortune Society’s strategic framework. Additionally, Mr. Metsch leads Fortune’s housing development activities as well as administering Fortune’s Contracts and Risk Management Program. Mr. Metsch brings over 20 years of experience to this position at Fortune, and has handled complex real estate transactions which have required multiple funding sources and regulatory approvals. Currently, Mr. Metsch is overseeing the financing and project development for a range of newly-opened and in-development Fortune housing projects across the Bronx and Upper Manhattan. He earned his JD from the University of Florida College of Law in 1992 and his BA in Political Science from Columbia University in 1989.
Mr. Metsch actively provides technical assistance to other organizations in the area of housing development for individuals with criminal justice histories. Specifically, Mr. Metsch has advised such organizations in the areas of project development, risk management and financing.
