Kevin Pleasant currently serves as the Director of the TransLife Care Program for Chicago House and Social Service Agency. Kevin is responsible for the oversight of a program that assists and supports trans/GNC identified individuals in obtaining and maintaining housing, legal, employment and care services. Along with providing referrals to other needed supportive services. He has served as LGBTQ /Diversity Coordinator for Lawrence Hall Youth Services from 2007-2012 in which he was a pivotal part of designing the current Illinois, DCFS Policy regarding providing care to LGBT Youth in the Child Welfare System. Kevin has also served on Congressman, Danny K Davis’ 7th Congressional District HIV/AIDS Task Force, Chicago Black Gay Men’s Caucus Executive Committee; under the auspices of the Chicago Department of Public Health. He holds certificates from the AIDS Foundation of Chicago, Northeastern Illinois HIV/AIDS Case Management Cooperative, Proceed Inc. HIV Prevention Case Management Training, and is a certified Youth Development Practioner receiving his certification in both Youth Work (Level 1 Certification) and Working with Adults and Communities (Level 2 Certification). Kevin received his AAS from Harold Washington College studying Youth Social Work. Kevin has also received his Basic and Advanced College Certificates, Social Work (Youth) from Harold Washington College. Kevin currently serves as a partner with P&P Consulting Group. P&P Consulting facilitates trainings to agencies that provide care and or services to LGBTQ youth.
